Zurich Classic of New Orleans Preview

Congratulations to Brandt Snedeker for winning the 2011 The Heritage in a playoff over one of last weeks picks, Luke Donald. This week, the PGA Tour is headed to the Bayou for the 2011 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where 3 of the top 10 players in the world are here to include Luke Donald, Steve Stricker and Graeme McDowell. The remainder are still on their self imposed hiatus following the Masters, with the intention of returning next week for the 2011 Wells Fargo Championship.

With that said, this is a huge opportunity for a tour player to win against a limited field. The question is, will this year’s champion be a seasoned veteran or will another first time winner emerge like Nick Watney, when he won the 2008 Zurich standard of New Orleans.

The Zurich Classic in New Orleans is one of the more relaxing tournaments on the tour and is usually a nice tune up for many of the PGA golfers looking to prepare for the participant Championship in May.

Golf Betting will be available at online betting sites closer to this event, which starts April 28.
The early list of commitment for the Zurich Classic show the tournament is one that many of the best players in the world look forward to. Graeme McDowell ranked fifth in the globe, Steve Stricker ranked eighth and Luke Donald ranked 10th, are three of the top ten golfers that have ended it a habit to make their way down to the Big Easy every year.

McDowell and Stricker are average ball striker but they should do well in this year’s tournament. Another key entry to watch is Jhonny Vegas. Vegas has been impressive early on this flavor and he will be one of the biggest bangers off the tee for this event.

Two other good golfers to keep an eye on in this tournament will be Rickie Fowler and Camilo Villegas. Fowler is another big hitter off the tee that is not frightened to make a mistake with an aggressive play. Villegas has not played much this season but he is also another golfer that will out drive much of his competition.
